EYEBROW COSMETIC TATTOO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
Aftercare is very important for producing a beautiful and lasting result.
On day 1 (day of treatment)
• Keep your eyebrows dried within the first 24 hours of the treatment.
• If your eyebrows are weeping, gently blot them with a dry, clean tissue every 30 minutes. This is only really necessary for the first 4 hours but can be done until bedtime if your brows continue to weep.
• Stay away from any Caffeine or Alcoholic drinks for the next 24 hours.
In the first 14 days
• NO makeup or skincare product directly on or around your eyebrow areas
• NO work out or activities that involve excessive sweating
• DO NOT wash your eyebrow tattoos, showers after the first 24 hours are fine but don’t make a point to wash them and always blot dry your eyebrows when wet.
• Ensure showers are not overly warm as this would open the pores and drain your pigments. Cold to lightly warm shower is recommended.
• NO skincare products above the cheekbones.
• Avoid any skincare product containing retinol, AHA, vitamins A, C and E agents.
• Avoid sun exposure, wearing a hat will help.
• NO tanning bed, sauna, or swimming.
• Sleep with a clean pillow case, on your back rather than stomach or sides.
• DO NOT touch the eyebrow with unclean hands or better do not touch at all.
• DO NOT pick, pull, scratch your eyebrow tattoos at all. Allow the scabs to form and flake off by itself. Premature removal of scabs may pull out the pigments and cause color lost/uneven color.
In the first 30 days
• Avoid laser treatment over the treated area (Fraxel laser, IPL), because they can destroy the pigment and cause burns
• You can now wash your eyebrows gently with warm water and cotton rounds twice daily then blot dry
• Be sure to book in and attend your touch up session
If you have any signs and symptoms of infections, please seek medical care.
WHAT’S NORMAL?
• Your eyebrows will go through a healing processes similar to the this illustration. Scabbing varies from client to client, in some case there may be a lot, little or no scab at all.
• Swelling, itching, scabbing, light bruising and dry tightness.
• Too dark and slightly uneven appearance. After 3-7 days the darkness will fade and once swelling dissipates unevenness usually disappears. The 2nd session will address any concerns regarding uneven shape and colors.
• Color change or color loss. As the procedure area heals the color will lighten and sometimes seem to disappear. This is normal. The procedure area has to be completely healed before we can address any concerns. This takes at least four weeks.
• Touch up. A second session is needed 4-8 weeks after the initial appointment to achieve a good result.
• Color refresh. This is cosmetic tattoo so the pigment will fade away gradually. A color-refresh maintenance will be needed every 12-18 months to keep the shape symmetrical and the color refreshed.
Failure to follow after care instructions may result in infections, pigment loss or discoloration.
Eyebrow Tattoo Healing is Not Bad, Promise
Your eyebrow tattoo healing should go by easily and smoothly as long as you are healthy and you follow the aftercare given to you by your chosen permanent makeup artist. We’re going to cover how your eyebrow tattoo will look as it’s healing and the two most popular methods of eyebrow tattoo aftercare.
How Your Eyebrow Tattoo Healing Will Look Day By Day
Day 1: Your new eyebrows are gorgeous and you couldn’t be happier!
The color is exactly what you hoped and the shape is perfect.
Days 2-4: You’ll notice that your color has darkened slightly, this is only temporary.
This is because the fresh color has oxidized, and it will last up to 7 days. Scabbing should be so thin and minimal that you feel comfortable going to work the very next day.
Days 5-7: Your microbladed eyebrows will begin to flake.
This is a natural part of your skin’s healing process and you’ll want to avoid picking or itching. This typically lasts 1-2 days.
Days 8-10: Your flaking has finished and you will feel fully healed.
You can now treat your eyebrows normally. Even though your eyebrows and skin feel normal now, you’re still undergoing the healing process. This means that your eyebrows will for a time look lighter than they will when completely healed at 6 weeks. The reason for this is that at first you will have new, baby skin and it will need several more weeks to finish healing.
Days 14-28: Finally your eyebrow tattoo has fully healed.
You should love the color and the shape should be exactly right. Soon you will be returning for your eyebrow tattoo follow-up appointment where your artist will see how you’ve healed.
Day 42: You can return for your follow-up.
Your follow-up is your chance to ask your artist to make any adjustments you’d like. If you were nervous during your initial service and, and you wish you had gone darker or fuller, now is the time to make your improvements. You should leave completely in love with your new eyebrows.

- Wash eyelash extensions every day or at least twice a week with a lash shampoos or eyelid cleanser. It is important to wash the roots and skin between the eyelashes, not the tips of the extensions. If dust, oils and make up stuck on the eyelid, it will effect on natural lashes health cause lash damage, premature lash lost or and infection.
- Do not use cotton wipesto wipes the eyelashes area, because it will catch the extension and pull them out. Ideally to use a soft brush to remove makeup around eye area.
- Sleep on your back, and it is recommended to sleep on a silk pillow case.
- Do not touching and rubbing the eyelashes to avoid permanent hair loss. Be gentle. And using a lash wand is a great ideal.
- Heat like hair dryer or BBQ, oven may burn the extensions.
